CFA Joins Groups in Supporting Amended CA Bill to Protect Genetic Privacy

In a letter to California Senator Tom Umberg, the Consumer Federation of America and other groups expressed support for the amended version of his bill, SB 41, which would protect the privacy of the highly sensitive genetic information collected by direct-to-consumer genetic testing companies like 23andme and AncestryDNA.
