Consumer, Public Health Advocates Tell FDA to Prioritize Public Health and Safety

CFA TC

CFA and other consumer and public health advocates submitted the following comments in response to FDA’s request for information titled “Review of Existing General Regulatory and Information Collection Requirements of the Food and Drug Administration.” The comments strongly urge FDA to prioritize only those deregulatory proposals that offer a concrete, evidence-based benefit to public health or address part of a rule that demonstrably impedes safety or public health, or progress on public health or safety. Rules should not be considered for change unless such changes offer benefits to the public and do not increase risks to public health and safety.
